Where are you Planted?

Any gardener knows the importance of placing plants in the right place to ensure they grow to be fruitful. The Bible has quite a bit to say to the spiritual gardener. One example is found in Psalm number 1.

1 'Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.'

I see in this portion of Scripture God's Sovereignty and Man's Responsibility.

Notice the tree is planted, this is a deliberate act, nothing random here. We must plant ourselves in God's will away from the stony ground of the world. Then we see there are rivers of water, that's God's part and what is the combined result? Fruitfulness!

Where are you planting yourself?
