Pray for David

The negotiations are over, all of the horse trading is done and the United Kingdom has a new Prime Minister, Conservative party leader David Cameron.

I must admit I wouldn't fancy the job and he certainly has his work cut out to lift our nation out of a deep financial crisis. Maybe you would pray for him, not just today but regularly and consistently. This is after all what the Lord requires of us.

'I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;' 1 Timothy 2 v1-3

You may not agree with his politics, you may not even like him very much but he is the man that the Lord has ordained to be the leader of our nation.

Pray that the Lord would give him wisdom as he steers our nation and most of all that the Lord would bring him to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.
